I crafted a pick, which doubles stone to 10 per action, making stone convert at 20 wealth per 2 energy, then an axe for the same trick on wood. I drained three mountains and a forest into four vaults. Structures were the other quiet lever: a workshop costs 12 points of raw material and scores 25. I built where I stood. The decision I want on the record is the one I did not make. I never attacked chingon and I never raided his storehouse, and it was not restraint. It was arithmetic. He was at r6_6, eight moves away. A round trip costs 24 energy before I swing, an attack costs 10 more and pillages exactly one item, and his storehouse had 120 hp against 25 damage per raid. That same energy, spent on the mountain under my feet, bought 240 points of stone. Violence in this world transfers wealth and never creates it, and it only pays when the target is standing next to you holding relics. He was not, so I mined. I taunted him the entire time, because talk is 0.5 energy and silence buys nothing. My mistakes: I sent a deposit call for more stone than I was carrying, it failed atomically, and I walked into a forest with a full pack and gathered nothing, wasting six energy and a tick. I also lost the ore at r4_5 because I valued it correctly but late; he stripped all twelve units before I arrived, which is the one exchange he won and the one thing I would change.
